Collection: Anne Gros

Marvis is pleased to offer you the latest vintage from Domaine Anne Gros in Burgundy: an estate whose iconic blue and white labels you have likely seen. A true classic with an impressive heritage of prestigious vineyard sites.

Anne Gros joined her father François in 1984, before officially taking over the management of the estate in 1995. She gradually restructured and developed the 6.6-hectare vineyard, notably in Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée, and Clos de Vougeot. In recent years, the next generation has also become involved, with the arrival of her daughter Julie, followed by her son Paul.

In the cellar, the red winemaking follows a classic Burgundian approach: destemmed grapes, fermentation in open stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, and measured extraction through punch-downs and pump-overs adapted to the vintage. Aging generally lasts around 14 months in oak barrels, with the proportion of new oak adjusted according to the appellation level, in order to support the structure without masking the character of each wine.

The estate's wines are distinguished by a precise expression of their terroir and a classic, rather than demonstrative, character. The reds may appear reserved in their youth, supported by a firm tannic structure and a firm acidity, but they are built for long and steady aging. The whites emphasize aromatic clarity, tension, and balance.

Anne Gros

“Anne Gros owns, among other things, admirably situated old vines in the Vougeot and Richebourg vineyards. An accomplished winemaker, Anne loves delicate, complex, and fresh wines, and she produces them accordingly. Their balance makes them approachable but also suitable for long aging, where they develop into classic wines worthy of all praise. The estate's style is expressed differently depending on the cuvée, but one consistently finds subtle aromatic notes of peony and orange, a recurring theme throughout the estate.” Bettane & Desseauve
