Collection: Lucas Salmon
A wonderful encounter with the young winemaker Mickaël Salmon, whose wines delighted us. He vinifies Melon de Bourgogne (the grape variety of Muscadet) brilliantly, producing wines with a low alcohol content (11%), elegant and easy to drink. If you appreciate rare finds, try the Folle Blanche and his Merlot cuvées.
Domaine Lucas-Salmon, founded in 2019 by Mickaël Salmon, spans 10 hectares spread between Château-Thébaud and Vertou, in the heart of the Nantes vineyards. Coming from a long line of winemakers, Mickaël enriched his experience with a stint in New Zealand before establishing his own estate, which is currently undergoing organic conversion. The estate distinguishes itself through a plot-by-plot approach, highlighting specific terroirs composed of granite, gneiss, and quartz. The wines, crafted with controlled yields and minimal intervention, reflect a saline and taut character, typical of oceanic influences.
