Syrah and Viognier wines, imbued with intense aromas yet always displaying exquisite finesse, perfectly reflect their schist or granite soils. Now joined by his children, the wines are consistently marked by a refined style in both whites and reds, a style we adore at Marvis. His talent allows him to excel in both prestigious terroirs and more secluded or less prominent vineyards, and this is what distinguishes great winemakers.

In 2023, the reds stand out for their aromatic intensity, dominated by notes of red and black fruit, with supple tannins, promising a delicious vintage. The whites, despite the summer drought, retain a lovely freshness and remarkable balance.
In 2024, a cool and rainy vintage, the winemakers of the Northern Rhône are very pleased, as PJ Villa explains: “2024 required an enormous amount of work in the vineyard; in the last 30 years, no vintage has been so challenging for the winemakers. Fortunately, the vines once again demonstrated their resilience, particularly the Viognier, here in Condrieu. The wines have very high alcohol levels and reveal, without exuberance, a floral character, with notes of violet and white flowers.”
