Pinot Blanc Lieu-dit Helfant 2023

A new vintage that has sparked enthusiasm in Jérôme Mader. This wine comes from the Helfant vineyard, whose name means "elephant" in Alsatian. Located at an average altitude of 310 meters, this terroir borders the upper reaches of the Rosacker Grand Cru and Muhlforst vineyards, benefiting from a cool, shady microclimate thanks to its proximity to the Vosges Mountains. The soil, a blend of limestone and sandstone, allows the 70-year-old vines to thrive in a cool yet fertile environment.
This oak-aged Pinot Blanc is deep and complex, with an aromatic profile that is at once fresh, floral, and smoky. The oak aging notes complement the fresh, mineral aromas typical of Helfant. Only 1200 bottles produced.
