Poised between rosé and white, Vignes Métissées isn't a quickly pressed red, but rather a vineyard plot where red and white grapes (Muscat, Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris, Cinsault, etc.) are intentionally blended. The result is neither a white nor a rosé. It is undoubtedly one of France's great rosés, but unfortunately, it sells out quickly at the winery, so take advantage of it now.
Sourced from a century-old plot cultivated biodynamically, this blended rosé has a very pale color and a complex nose of citrus, flowers, and herbal infusions. The palate is full-bodied and saline, with a lovely freshness.
Produced in a limited edition of only 1,500 copies.
Features
- Grape variety: Blend of co-planted grape varieties: Grenache Blanc, Gris and Noir, Carignan Blanc, Gris and Noir, Macabeu, Malvoisie, Picpoul, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, Muscat
- Soil and terroir: Schist soils. Two plots planted in 1963 and 2016.
- Winemaking and Aging : Direct pressing of whole bunches. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts without added sulfur and aging for 10 to 12 months in barrels and casks (228 and 500 L). Malolactic fermentation generally carried out. No fining, light filtration. Moderate total sulfiting at bottling (40–60 ppm).

Le Roc des Anges
Domaine familial, certifié en bio et biodynamie, est développé depuis 2008 par Marjorie et Stéphane Gallet. Leurs vignes sont situées à Montner, en territoire catalan, sur des schistes qui permettent à la vigne de puiser en profondeur l’eau indispensable pour surmonter les chaleurs inhérentes à cette région. Si vous appréciez les cépages méditerranéens, vous trouverez votre bonheur au Roc de Anges : Grenaches noirs, gris et blancs, Carignan, Syrah, Mourvèdre… Les vignes ont pour point commun leur âge avancé (plus de 65 ans) et de très faibles rendements : avantages significatifs dans la région pour élaborer des jus fins et digestes.
