Benoit's wines have the quality of expressing exactly what one expects from each appellation and as such represent an ideal entry point for those wishing to discover Burgundy: Thirteenth generation winemaker, Benoit has taken over part of the Girardin family's vineyard heritage to imprint his style on it: long aging of 18 months for refined reds, concentrated without excess.
Balanced white wines, with a subtle toasty reduction that elevates each terroir presented. A distinctive feature of the white wine collection: the Savigny is every bit as good as a Meursault, and the Santenay as a Chassagne… except perhaps for their price. The great terroirs of Santenay are benefiting from climate change and becoming serious rivals to the Côte de Nuits, particularly Clos Rousseau, which shines with its power and elegance.
