Collection: Clos du Jaugueyron

After years of getting close to the Théron family, we are pleased to finally offer you one of the very best family estates in Bordeaux, whose pure and elegant wines have amazed us.
Located in the prestigious Margaux appellation, Clos du Jaugueyron is an emblematic estate of the few top-tier organic Bordeaux wines. Founded in 1993 by Michel Théron and Stéphanie Destuhaut, it spans 7 hectares spread between Margaux and the Haut-Médoc. Pioneers in organic and biodynamic farming, it is one of the few in Bordeaux to have been Demeter certified since 2008, a result of its almost negligible use of sulfur, which is offset by particularly demanding winemaking methods.
The estate's soils, composed of gravel, clay, and sand, benefit from a microclimate influenced by the proximity of the forests and the ocean. Since its creation, the estate has become a model in the region for its commitment to sustainable agriculture and its exceptional wines. Michel Théron summarizes his ambition as follows: to respect the terroir while offering wines distinguished by their purity, balance, and depth. By combining tradition and innovation, the estate confirms its place among the most inspiring properties on Bordeaux's Left Bank.

Clos du Jaugueyron

"This estate stands out with its minimalist approach to winemaking: little sulfur, minimal extraction, and aging partly in large containers and tanks to preserve the fruit as much as possible. The result is wines with a strong personality and superb grace." Revue du Vin de France
