We introduced you to this young estate with the 2021 vintage. Since then, David Michelis has further refined his wines and his 2024 vintage is of exceptional quality, with balance and finesse evident in each of the cuvées.

From the Purple vintage, fruity and floral,  up to its Chardonnay on granite with captivating aromas of exotic fruits and flowers: the entire range rises to the highest level of the Côtes Roannaise and the Loire in general.

Réniteo

Founded in 2021 by David Michelis, Domaine Renitéo embodies a clear ambition: to make Gamay Saint-Romain "shine again" in the Côte Roannaise. The vineyard is located on the granite slopes of Ambierle, at an average altitude of 450m, giving the wines a characteristic freshness and minerality.
The estate's philosophy is based on a strong environmental commitment. Particular attention is paid to soil health and biodiversity. In the winery, the approach is deliberately minimal: exclusively manual harvesting, rigorous sorting, spontaneous fermentations using indigenous yeasts, gentle maceration, and precise temperature control allow the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the terroir to be expressed.
This approach has been praised by the profession: the estate won the 1st prize in the prestigious Vignerons et Terroirs d'Avenir competition in 2022.
The signature of Renitéo wines is based on great elegance, natural finesse and precise aromatic expression, dominated by red fruits and carried by a saline structure from the granite soils.
