Bonnigal-Bodet

Bonnigal-Bodet, our favorite in the Loire Valley, and more specifically in the lesser-known appellation of Amboise. When we tasted their wines, the resemblance to François Chidaine's style in Montlouis was immediately apparent. The aromatic balance, the skillful handling of the Chenin Blanc's roundness, the elegant acidity, and above all, the crystalline precision of the wines won us over. It's no surprise when you discover that JB. Bonnigal and S. Bodet took over this family estate after training under François Chidaine.

The entire estate is certified organic and the necessary measures are taken to produce elegant wines: low yields, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, long aging in oak…
This is an area to watch, as the care given to the vines and the winemaking process will take these two talented winemakers far.
